The picture says it all, “Boys will be boys, especially at a football game!” Over 70 men gathered for a pre-game tailgate and Pitt game sponsored by Tom O’Connor with the East End Youth Football Crusaders. 25 young Crusaders along with several Perry High School football players joined over 35 Dads, coaches and mothers for a delicious tailgate buffet and some great fellowship. The buffet was sponsored by our good brother Ed Savolskis from Conrad Catering. The young men enjoyed a rousing game of tailgate football in between food courses of Chicken, Italian Sausage, Ziti, and scrumptious Peace, Love, and Little Donuts (Donated by Ron and Marci Razete).

We had a guest Bagpiper, Matt Petersen, join us as well from the CMU Bagpiping Band. People loved his rendition of “Amazing Grace.” The game was a thriller, going down to a last second Pitt field goal for the win over Georgia Tech 37-34. Special thanks to Russ Livingston from Babb Insurance who donated their private lot with restroom access on Ridge Avenue to us for our tailgate – just a few minute walk to Heinz Field.
