Our 4th Annual Christmas Breakfast on December 18th had 240 people in attendance. People were moved by the message of Marine Captain Eric McElvenny who lost his right leg in Afghanistan. Eric challenged us to ask ourselves 2 things. First, do we have a confident hope in Christ to face death? With a deafening ringing in his ears just after the I.E.D. took his leg, lying on the ground in shock, Eric knew that he had that resurrection hope. Next, he asked if we have embraced our mission? He has embraced his. He is learning to be thankful as a servant leader to his family every day; his wife and his three children. He is embracing as well his life as a triathlete. He competes to honor Christ and to tell his story which now is a God story.
