Our golf outing was a great day with almost 30 foursomes at Quicksilver Golf Club. The rain held off for almost a full round but it finally chased us off the course after groups finished 15-17 holes. We still tallied our top 3 Team winners and our skill prize winners. The beverage carts delivered plenty of needed snacks and beer and the lunch buffet was fantastic. Our good brother Joel Gray shared about the power of the huddle as a safe place for men to experience God’s grace through vulnerability, friendship and the word of God. Leo challenged men to get connected in a micro group (3-4) this Fall with many new groups (Gospel of Mark 16 Week Discipleship Series) launching in the next few weeks. Locking Arms would like to thank all of our volunteers (Caleb Kolb, Tom Patton, Cindy Wisniewski, Sarah Silko, John Taormina, John Carey). We want to thank the Quicksilver staff for their excellent service, especially Carl, Warren, Brian and his food service assistants.
We were committed to donate to the food distribution and relief need with our ministry partners in the Dominican Republic Del Rey Ministries and Meeting God in Missions. We were able to do it however in a big way through the generosity of our golfers and especially our sponsors. Special thanks to our two Title Sponsors: Sunny Days In Home Care (David Ellenwood) and GiftYa (Jason Wolfe).
