Home > Events > Locking Arms Ligonier Camp Retreat – The Glory of God

Almost 70 men ages 6-75 joined us for a recharging weekend of worship, teaching, fellowship and fun. Everyone commented on the Glory of God theme which led to a powerful experience of love and unity throughout the weekend. It flowed from the Spirit’s presence in worship, from our session leaders (Jim Buchanan, Jon Kolb, Kim Costanza, Fernando DeCarvalho & Matt Geppert) and the deep acceptance from the men. The roaring campfires in the covered pavilion were a great gathering place for S’mores, cigars, and basketball on the full length court; especially for the young bucks. Saturday was sunny and nearly 50 degrees which made for a big crew of hikers to enjoy the wooded countryside surrounding the camp. Others tried their luck at the Indoor Climbing Wall. Matt Geppert’s message on the Glory of God in the Great Commission was accompanied by a moving time of communion. Many enjoyed Laser Tag Saturday night as well. Many thanks to our speakers, Stu Hayes and the worship team, Bob McGowan and Jim Buchanan.

Thanks as well to the Ligonier Staff who served us all weekend. Saturday night’s pork chops were amazing!
