Bob McGowan graduated from Grove City College in 1973 with a BS in Chemical Engineering. He served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps until 1976 after which time he spent 40 years in the Industrial Gas business (Air Products, AGA Gas, Linde and Airgas).
Bob has been a member of the Mt. Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church since 1988 where he has served as Deacon and member of the Prison Ministry Team.
He also is a member of the Board of Directors of Operation Homefront, a national Veterans Charity whose mission is to help build strong, stable and secure military families.
Bob and his family are long time supporters of the Light of Life Rescue Mission, including participation in the Tunch & Wolf Walk and Team Light of Life in the Pittsburgh Marathon.
Bob and his wife Carroll have been married 40 years. They have two sons and two granddaughters.
